Health & Safety Policy
Our commitment to keeping you safe in the wild and at sea.
Safari Quest Adventurez places the safety of our travellers, guides, staff and the environment at the centre of every itinerary.
1. Our safety commitment
We work only with licensed guides, drivers, pilots and boat operators; maintain our vehicles to manufacturer standards; and conduct daily pre-departure checks on all equipment used on tour.
2. Emergency procedures
Every itinerary includes a written emergency contact card with the 24/7 office line, lead guide, nearest hospital and evacuation provider. All vehicles carry first-aid kits and means of communication.
3. Medical emergencies
In a medical emergency, your guide will stabilise the situation and coordinate transfer to the nearest appropriate medical facility. We strongly recommend insurance with Flying Doctors or AMREF cover.
4. Safari safety guidelines
- Remain inside the vehicle at all times during game drives unless your guide says otherwise.
- Keep voices low and movements slow when near wildlife.
- Do not feed, touch or attempt to attract animals.
- Follow your guide’s instructions immediately and without question.
5. Ocean & water excursion safety
- Wear the life jackets provided on boats at all times.
- Snorkel and dive only with the certified guides assigned to your trip.
- Respect marine life — do not touch coral, turtles or dolphins.
6. Mountain climbing safety
- Acclimatisation schedules are designed for safety, not speed — please trust the route.
- Report any symptoms of altitude sickness to your lead guide immediately.
- All climbing crews carry pulse oximeters, oxygen and emergency stretcher equipment.
7. Child safety
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Some lodges set minimum ages for game drives, swimming pools and shared activities — we will confirm these for your booking.
8. Risk acknowledgement
Travel in wild and remote environments carries inherent risks. By booking with us you acknowledge these risks and accept that, despite all reasonable precautions, accidents or illness can occur.
