Travel Policy
Passports, visas, vaccinations and arrival/departure procedures.
This policy summarises the travel-document, health and logistical requirements that every traveller is responsible for before joining a Safari Quest Adventurez journey.
1. Passport requirements
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of departure from Tanzania, with at least two blank pages for entry stamps.
2. Visa responsibility
Travellers are responsible for obtaining the correct visa for Tanzania and any other countries on their itinerary. Most nationalities can apply online for the Tanzanian e-Visa, but rules change — please check current requirements with the Tanzanian embassy or your travel agent well in advance.
3. Vaccination recommendations
A Yellow Fever certificate is required if you are arriving from or transiting through a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Anti-malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. Please consult your doctor or a travel clinic at least 6 weeks before departure.
4. Travel insurance recommendation
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and is a condition of travel on many of our tours. Insurance should cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation/curtailment, lost luggage and adventure activities such as mountain climbing where applicable.
5. Health requirements
Please inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies or mobility considerations at the time of booking so we can plan appropriately and brief your guides.
6. Luggage recommendations
- Soft-sided duffel bags are required for light-aircraft transfers; most carriers allow 15 kg per person including hand luggage.
- Pack neutral-coloured clothing for safaris (avoid bright white, blue or black).
- Bring sun protection, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle and any personal medications.
7. Arrival procedures
Our representative will meet you in the arrivals hall holding a Safari Quest Adventurez sign with your name. If you cannot locate them within 15 minutes, please call our 24/7 emergency line.
8. Departure procedures
We recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before international departures and 90 minutes before domestic flights. Your guide or transfer driver will confirm pick-up times the day before.
